On May 5, 2025, Senator Nesbitt remarked on the efficiency of his campaign finance website in comparison to Michigan’s official platform. He stated, “And unlike the Michigan campaign finance website, ours actually works!”
In another post on the same day, he expressed concerns about a costly infrastructure project. He noted that $70 million was allocated to replace a historic brick road with lanes for self-driving cars. Nesbitt commented critically on this decision by saying, “$70 MILLION to rip out a historic brick road and replace it with a few miles of lanes for self driving cars.” He also mentioned that despite this expenditure, Governor Whitmer and the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) claim they need to increase taxes for further road repairs.
