Former Wylie E. Groves High School standout Joshua Gibson contributed as his current team, the Alabama Huntsville Chargers, secured an 83-74 victory against the West Alabama Tigers during their NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament opener.
The matchup, the Chargers’ first against West Alabama in the tournament, was played Sunday, March 15 at 5 p.m. inside Rick Case Arena.
Alabama Huntsville’s next contest is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 at 6 p.m. at the same venue.
