City of Madison Heights issued the following announcement on Oct. 1.
Fall leaf collection is coming soon. The trees don't follow the calendar, so we can't give you an exact date yet, but DPS plans to start fall leaf collection within the next couple weeks as conditions warrant. Please continue to check out the City's media outlets for updates; we will notify our residents no later than the Friday before we plan to start.
New to Madison Heights? DPS is proud to provide a comprehensive curbside leaf collection program for our residents. You rake them to the curb*, we do the rest!
*Whether you're new to town, or just can't believe another autumn is upon us, check out the Fall Leaf Pickup page for helpful reminders on where and when to put your leaves, and how you can help your DPS make this another successful leaf season. Once the program begins, DPS crews will be by every week to pick up your leaves on your normal garbage day until all the leaves have fallen, or the first snowfall, whichever comes first.
