Southfield City Clerk’s Office hiring election workers for August 2 & November 8 elections

City of Southfield issued the following announcement on Mar 24.

Eligible registered voters are encouraged to submit applications for the 2022 election cycle

The Southfield City Clerk’s Office will hire election workers of all eligible ages for the Primary Election on Tuesday, August 2 and the General Election on Tuesday, November 8.

Election workers over 18 years old must be registered voters in the State of Michigan. Workers are paid $25 for each training session, with chairpersons compensated $275 and election inspectors compensated $230 for the full day (6 a.m. until polls close and election results are reported). By serving their community, election workers gain practical experience, obtain a greater awareness of the electoral process, and learn about the rights and responsibilities of voters. Eligible individuals are encouraged to fill out an application online https://www.cityofsouthfield.com/sites/default/files/inline-files/election-inspector-application-2022_3.pdf and return the form by email to nhumphries@cityofsouthfield.com or by mail to Southfield City Clerk, 26000 Evergreen Road, Southfield, Michigan 48076.

The polls are open for voting from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 36 voting precincts throughout Southfield. A complete map of City of Southfield Voting Precincts and Polling Locations can be found online at https://www.cityofsouthfield.com/news/city-southfield-2021-election-news-info-center.
