Eligible registered voters are encouraged to submit applications for the 2022 election cycle
The Southfield City Clerk’s Office will hire election workers of all eligible ages for the Primary Election on Tuesday, August 2 and the General Election on Tuesday, November 8.
Election workers over 18 years old must be registered voters in the State of Michigan. Workers are paid $25 for each training session, with chairpersons compensated $275 and election inspectors compensated $230 for the full day (6 a.m. until polls close and election results are reported). By serving their community, election workers gain practical experience, obtain a greater awareness of the electoral process, and learn about the rights and responsibilities of voters.
