Good Afternoon Royal Oak! Next month, the men and women of the Royal Oak Police Department will once again participate in the annual Michigan Law Enforcement Torch Run to help raise money for Special Olympics Michigan. This year, in addition to the run, we've decided to participate in another exciting event and we'd love for you all to join us.
On Saturday, September 17, 2022, we will be hosting a Law Enforcement Torch Run Fire Truck Pull at Royal Oak Police Department. Participants will show their strength as they pull a fire truck for a predetermined distance. Each team will be charged an entry fee of $30 per person/$300 per team and be encouraged to raise additional money for Special Olympics Michigan.
All donations will help provide Special Olympics Michigan athletes with year-round sports training, athletic competition, health screenings, and school inclusion – programs that make Special Olympics athletes feel respected, accepted, and celebrated for their achievements and abilities.
