Berkley is revving up for the 26th annual CruiseFest Classic Car Parade happening next Friday, August 19, 2022.

Berkley, MI – Berkley is revving up for the 26th annual CruiseFest Classic Car Parade happening next Friday, August 19, 2022.

For more than 20 years, on the 3rd weekend in August, CruiseFest events, sponsored by the City of Berkley are held in conjunction with the Woodward Dream Cruise.  

“We have around 300 classic cars signed up to participate in the parade this year, said Theresa McArleton, Parks & Recreation Director. “This is one of those events we look forward to every year. It brings in thousands of people into our beautiful community, highlights our amazing downtown businesses, and gives the Parks & Recreation and Cruisefest Committee an opportunity to keep a great tradition alive in Berkley.” 

The parade is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM and will travel west down 12 Mile Road starting at Roseland Park Cemetery (Woodward and ending at Greenfield. Following the parade, the after-party and event entertainment will include musical performances by Denise Davis and the Motor City Sensations along the south end of Robina Ave.

New for this year, there will be a face painting booth and the movie for this year is going to be Back To The Future.

Additionally, the Berkley Chamber of Commerce is will be selling the official 2022 Cruisefest shirt at their table under the marquee on the day of the event. The shirts cost $20.00 each. Want to wear it to the Cruisefest parade? Interested patrons can order the shirts ahead of time online or purchase one at Vitrine or Coco Fairfield’s. The event will continue to monitor and abide by CDC and State COVID-19 public health guidelines for outdoor gatherings. Residents and community members are invited and encouraged to attend the festivities.

Road Closure Notice

12 Mile Rd will be closed from Woodward to Greenfield Rd for the parade and event festivities. Seek alternative routes if leaving the area.
