Birmingham Public Schools librarian chosen to lead statewide school library organization

Birmingham Public Schools is pleased to announce librarian Carrie Betts has accepted the nomination to be the next president-elect for the Michigan Association for Media in Education.

Betts serves as the elementary library facilitator for Birmingham Public Schools and school librarian for West Maple School. She will continue in these positions as she goes through MAME’s leadership program, including serving as president-elect in 2023, president in 2024 and immediate past president in 2025.
