Selfridge and Phillips Road Reconstruction

INFORMATION NOTICE

Selfridge Boulevard and Phillips Avenue

Pavement Reconstruction Project

We have received a few inquiries regrading parking on the side streets during restricted hours and what homeowners should do for leaf pick up if located within the construction closures. Below are responses to the inquiries.

Q. Can I park on the City streets during restricted hours?

A. Yes, you can park on nearby streets during restricted hours if you are impacted by the road construction project. The Police Department will NOT enforce overnight on street parking restrictions.

Q. What should I do with my leaves if I am located within the road closure?

A. Residents within the road closure should leave their leaf piles in the greenbelt between the curb and sidewalk closer to the sidewalk. The DPW will use their park sweeper and pick up the leaves from the greenbelt.

As a reminder, please continue to place garbage, compost, and recycling containers curbside as normal. We strongly recommend that property owners place their address on garbage or recycling containers. Mail service to your property will not be uninterrupted during construction. If you have any questions, please contact the City’s Engineering Consultant, Mike Smith (Project Manager) at (586) 726-1234.

We realize there will be inconveniences during construction, however it is our intention to address as many concerns as can be reasonably accommodated, and keeping in mind that portions of the road and driveways must be closed to complete work. We apologize for the inconveniences this will create; however with your cooperation, we can help to expedite the completion of the project.

The City of Clawson Council and Staff would like to thank you in advance for your continued patience and cooperation during this important infrastructure improvement project.
