The City of Clawson is accepting applications for the position of patrol officer. The CPD has 17 full time officers including Detectives and Special Response team members. CPD provides comprehensive and proactive police training covering all aspects of modern policing. The salary range is $48,993-$73,249. Full salary is achieved at the end of 48 months of employment.

General law enforcement duties pertaining to the protection of people and property, traffic code and ordinance enforcement , maintain proactive patrol and respond to calls for service, preliminary investigation of incidents, participate in community policing programs, and testify in a court of law 

Here are the requirements:
To be appointed to the Clawson police Department, the City of Clawson has the following requirements:

⦁ You must be a U.S. Citizen

⦁ You must have been a Michigan resident for one full year immediately preceding the filing date of your statement

⦁ You most possess visual acuity correctable to 20/20

⦁ You must not have any Felony convictions

⦁ You must possess an AA degree or equivalent number of academic hours

⦁ You must possess a valid Michigan driver’s license

⦁ You must be certifiable by MCOLES to be a Michigan Police Officer or enrolled in a police academy (Possible sponsorship opportunities available)

⦁ You must pass the background investigation
