Senator Aric Nesbitt, a Michigan State Senator and member of the Republican Party, posted several statements on his social media account on August 22, 2025. In his first post at 12:18 UTC, Nesbitt wrote: "DEFUND DEI." At 15:55 UTC the same day, he expressed support for former President Trump with the statement: "President Trunp was right. AGAIN!" Later that afternoon at 16:28 UTC, Nesbitt commented on expert opinion by stating: "Once again, the “experts” got it wrong."
