Senator Aric Nesbitt posted a series of tweets on September 15 and 16, 2025, addressing national and state political figures and events. The statements reflect his views on current political leadership in Michigan and at the federal level.

On September 15, Nesbitt publicly supported Vice President Vance, stating, "Vice President Vance is SPOT ON."

The following day, he referenced an event at the Michigan Capitol honoring conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Nesbitt wrote on September 16, "Honoring the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk at the Michigan Capitol today, we will NEVER surrender."

Later that same day, Nesbitt criticized Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s administration. He claimed: "Governor Whitmer has lost the support of the people of Michigan and her own party. Michigan is leading the nation in unemployment while student test scores plummet and our roads crumble. Her incompetence is undeniable."

Nesbitt serves as a Republican member of the Michigan Senate. His comments about unemployment rates come amid ongoing debates about economic performance in Michigan compared to other states. Similarly, concerns about education outcomes have been part of broader discussions among state officials regarding standardized test results and their implications for public policy.

Governor Gretchen Whitmer has faced criticism from some lawmakers regarding infrastructure challenges and education metrics during her tenure; however, her administration has also pointed to investments made in road repair projects and educational initiatives aimed at improving outcomes.
