Senator Aric Nesbitt, a Republican representing Michigan in the state Senate, shared a series of posts on his social media account between September 30 and October 1, 2025. The tweets address topics ranging from state governance to student engagement and fiscal oversight.

On September 30, Nesbitt commented on Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s approach to constitutional issues in Michigan: "Whether it's a pandemic or a budget crisis, Gretchen Whitmer seems to have a troubled relationship with the Michigan Constitution."

The following day, Nesbitt highlighted an event involving young conservatives at the Capitol. On October 1 he wrote: "Had the pleasure of hosting students from the MSU College Republicans and Turning Point Chapter today at the Capitol, this next generation is going to be the most conservative yet!"

Later that same day, Nesbitt criticized an initiative by Democrats concerning public funds and referenced past ethical controversies within the legislature: "Democrats are trying to give your tax dollars to a disgraced former Rep. that expensed strip club visits to his campaign. This is the waste and abuse we’ve been talking about."

Nesbitt’s remarks come as debates continue in Michigan over government spending and transparency practices. Previous legislative sessions have seen disputes regarding allocations for lawmakers who faced disciplinary action for ethics violations. The senator’s posts also reflect ongoing partisan disagreements in Lansing related to budget management during emergencies such as pandemics.
