Senator Aric Nesbitt, Republican leader representing Porter Township in the Michigan Senate, recently used his social media account to comment on several political developments and policy issues.

On October 3, 2025, Nesbitt posted a statement regarding the passage of the 2026 fiscal year omnibus budget in the Michigan Senate. He wrote: “I commend House Republicans for their efforts on this budget, especially given that they”.

Later that day, Nesbitt commented on former President Donald Trump’s role in international affairs. In a post dated October 3, 2025, he stated: “Once again, President Trump is delivering peace and bringing an end to another major conflict. Thank you Mr. President for your commitment to peace and for putting AMERICA FIRST.”

The following day, on October 4, 2025, Nesbitt addressed public safety and immigration enforcement efforts in Michigan by posting: “This is exactly what we voted for. Thanks for keeping Michigan roads safe @ICE !”

Nesbitt’s remarks come as the Michigan legislature continues its work on state budgeting and as national debates over foreign policy and immigration enforcement remain prominent topics among lawmakers.
