Senator Aric Nesbitt, a Republican member of the Michigan Senate, posted a series of statements on his social media account on October 21, 2025. The tweets addressed topics ranging from legislative actions by Democrats in Lansing to responses to violent threats against public officials.

In a post published at 14:45 UTC, Nesbitt criticized members of the opposing party in the state legislature: "Lansing Democrats couldn't muster the courage to condemn domestic terrorism. They are showing us exactly who they are."

Later that day, at 16:06 UTC, he commented on proposed changes to hunting license fees in Michigan. Nesbitt wrote, "Democrats in the Michigan Senate are currently trying to ram through MORE fee increases on hunting licenses. As @TedNugent pointed out, our roads are littered with dead deer. We should be LOWERING the fees instead of pricing hunters out."

In another statement at 17:27 UTC, Nesbitt addressed consequences for threatening public officials: "We’re not tolerating violent threats. This individual decided to threaten the President, now he’s heading to prison. FAFO."

Senator Aric Nesbitt has served as a prominent Republican voice in the Michigan Senate and has previously held leadership positions within his caucus.
