Birmingham Family YMCA issued the following announcement on Apr. 23.
We are truly grateful to those who have reached out to ask how they can help the YMCA help others. There are three ways you can help the YMCA help others today:
Advocate: Contact local and national government and urge them to support community service organizations like the YMCA.
Donate: Contribute to the Y to Support Families During COVID-19 to help us feed people today and to be here another 168 years to improve:
Health and Wellness
Child and Youth Development
Family and Community
Educate: Share the times and locations of our food delivery sites: YMCA providing Free Grab and Go Meals for children and young adults and our virtual YMCA services, offering online exercise classes and various resources for families including links to support educating children at home.
