City of Madison Heights issued the following announcement on May 19.
In recognition of the Oakland County Bicentennial, the City of Madison Heights is proud to participate in the Oakland County Bicentennial Oak Tree Program. The county has made available oak tree seedlings to be distributed by local governments and schools to residents for planting. Check out the program brochure to learn more about this exciting initiative!
The City will have a limited number of white oak seedlings available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis starting Thursday. The seedling comes with instructions on how to plant and care for the tree. Seedlings are 12-18 inches tall with an established root system.
