City of Madison Heights issued the following announcement on May 29.
The City has set a priority Through a partnership with ReLeaf Michigan, donations from private organizations, and matching funds allocated by City Council to the Environmental Citizens Committee, the City will be working to plant 32 trees. This planting, which is a neighborhood and community volunteer effort is scheduled for Saturday, June 6. As a result of the 2016 Moulin Avenue Water Main and partial Road Reconstruction Project, it was necessary for the Department of Public Services to remove the large and declining trees in the right-of-way (the area between the sidewalk and street) on a full block of the street. Therefore, this area has been identified for replacement.
Special thank you to ReLeaf Michigan, Holistic Industries, and Alternative Rx.
