Advantage Oakland issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.
Four #OaklandCounty residents were chosen by public vote as the winners in ‘Oakland Together’ Online COVID-19 Safety Video & Art Contest. https://bit.ly/3iuIXCS
Nearly 4,900 people cast votes for the winners, who each will receive $350 and recognition on county websites and social media channels through Sept. 30. They are:
Youth visual art: Steven Lowenberg, 13, of Southfield.
Adult visual art: Sydni Gothard, of Waterford.
Youth video: Charlisa Penzak, 12, of Bloomfield Hills.
Adult video: Eli Sider of Huntington Woods.
"Their collective message is simple and to the point. We have an obligation to our families, those we care about, our coworkers, classmates and friends, and even those we don't know to wear a facial covering to help stop the spread of the coronavirus," said County Executive David Coulter.
