City of Birmingham issued the following announcement on Nov 12.
The second draft of the Citywide Master Plan for 2040 was released last month after a yearlong review of the first draft. The Planning Board met this week to review the Future
Land Use Map and Chapter 1. Those who missed the meeting may watch the footage at www.bhamgov.org/watch. Mark your calendar for a discussion about the 2040 Plan at these upcoming Planning Board Meetings:
- December 8th, 2021 – Chapter 2 (Embrace Managed Growth)
- January 12th, 2022 – Chapter 3 (Retain Neighborhood Quality)
- February 9th, 2022 – Chapter 4 (Support Mixed-Use Districts) & Chapter 5 (Advance Sustainability Practices)
