City of Royal Oak issued the following announcement on Nov 16.
Happy America Recycles Day from Keep America Beautiful!!
There are many great reasons and benefits to recycling, which include:
* Reduces landfill waste
* Protects and conserves natural resources such as oceans and forests
*Lessens the burning of fossil fuels which can decrease the emission of greenhouse gas
Tip to Reduce Waste: Before you shop, think about whether you really need that item. If you do need the item, can you purchase it as a “green” product? (Is it eco-friendly, energy saving, and is it built to last and/or easy to recycle?)
