City of Birmingham recently issued the following announcement.
See Birmingham’s Newest Sculpture, “Steel Horse”, in Poppleton Park “Steel Horse" by Barry Harrison is Birmingham's newest sculpture installed in Poppleton Park at the corner of Woodward Avenue and Madison Avenue. The art-on-loan is an abstract horse welded in cor-ten steel that stands 8 feet in height and over 11 feet long. Inspiration from the artist's work comes from growing up in Kentucky and then moving to Detroit to work as a technical illustrator for the automotive industry.
