Free event will include live music, children’s activities, and feature film beginning at dusk
Southfield Parks & Recreation and the Southfield Public Library will show a free outdoor movie on Wednesday, June 29 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. on the Southfield Municipal Campus front lawn, 26000 Evergreen Road.
Park It will feature live music performance by Momford & Sons at 6:30 p.m. and the movie Encanto to follow at sundown, approximately 8:20 p.m. Encanto (2021, Rated PG) is a Disney animation comedy directed by Jared Bush, Byron Howard, and Charise Castro Smith. The movie is about a Colombian teenage girl who is the only member of her family without magical powers and stars Stephanie Beatriz, María Cecilia Botero, and John Leguiz. Momford & Sons, a Mom and Sons acoustic duo/trio band, performs a variety of songs from all genres.
This family event will also include face painting and inflatable playscapes (socks required). (Attendees are encouraged to bring bug spray, a blanket or lawn chairs for comfort and movie enjoyment.)
