Southfield Mayor Kenson Siver, in partnership with Southfield Great Lakes Ace Hardware and Lowe’s Home Improvement of Southfield, will host The Big Rake on select Saturdays, November 12 & 19 and December 3 & 10 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The Big Rake is organized by the Mayor’s office to help seniors or disabled Southfield residents with fall lawn maintainence. Volunteers are needed to help rake leaves. Home Depot and Lowe’s Home Improvement donated paper yard bags for use at the event. Other dates and times may be scheduled depending on need. Last fall, 250 volunteers helped clear 75 yards in five days.
