Since 2018, the Royal Oak Police Department has proudly partnered with Hope Not Handcuffs & Families Against Narcotics (FAN) to help combat the opioid and fentanyl epidemic.
Hope Not Handcuffs is heavily dependent on volunteer "Angels" to assist in this effort and they are currently seeking additional volunteers to assist with the program.
In addition to other law enforcement agencies and courts throughout Metro Detroit, the Royal Oak Police Department will host upcoming Angel training sessions on Tuesday, November 15th at 11:00 AM and Wednesday, November 30th at 6:00 PM. All training will be conducted by Hope Not Handcuffs staff and will occur inside the ROPD Community Room.
Please see the attached press release for additional information on their program, as well as how to contact them to become an Angel. All questions regarding the program and Angel training should be directed to FAN / Hope Not Handcuffs representatives.
