K-9 BEAR makes a great capture on March 6th, around 945pm assisting Royal Oak Police. K-9 Bear and his handler were requested to assist our neighbors for two suspects attempting to steal a car near 696/Main. Bear used his "super nose" to track down the bad guys who took off running, locating one who thought he could outrun Bear....But we know our favorite Officer was ready for the task, chasing down the suspect. The suspect refused to stop and Bear got his first tackle, holding onto the badguy until his handler and ROPD could make the arrest. Soon after officers were able to locate a discarded firearm by the suspect.
