Senator Aric Nesbitt has recently taken to social media to criticize Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Democratic leadership in Lansing. In a series of posts, Nesbitt raised concerns about road infrastructure, legislative representation for Mid Michigan, and alleged mismanagement of taxpayer funds.

On July 21, 2025, Senator Nesbitt wrote: "Today is day 2,394 of Gretchen Whitmer being Michigan's Governor and she still has not produced a plan to fix the roads."

The following day, on July 22, 2025, he commented on the absence of representation for a region in the state Senate: "Mid Michigan has now been without a Senator for 200 days as Whitmer continues to put politics over people.

Stop acting like a monarch and give the people their voice back Governor.
